GUY DIY | Colorblock Tie

2.07.2013
I have to admit, this studly skinny tie is one of my favorite #GUYDIYs. Modeled by my forever friend, John (and partially inspired by J. Timberlake's latest single) colorblocking gives something a little extra to a Suit & Tie ensemble. I stuck to a subdue silver, but take the plunge with a bright blue or neon to create a statement look.

Supplies:
Skinny Tie
Paint Brush
White Acrylic paint
Silver Fabric paint
Painters tape

How To:
First, place a piece of tape horizontally a few inches up from the tip of the tie.
Paint the area below the tape with white paint, let dry.
Next, paint your color on top of the white, you may need a couple of coats. Let dry.
Lastly, peal off the tape.
