DIY ART | Hi Painting

The process to cover my walls is officially in motion! The plan is to curate a mix of artists from sites like Etsy and my own projects. First up was a spin on this fun CB2 canvas by artist Matthew Heller,  I decided to change up the word and make my own stencil out of a sponge. Cover your sponge with acrylic paint, press down on the canvas, spell out your word, repeat, and you will have your new art piece in 20 min or less!

  17. I think this is really good - bold, graphic and simple. Huge canvases have gotten so cheap recently and I can definitely see myself doing something like this. I posted the top finished photo and the GIF on my blog and a link back to you.

  36. So good! So cute! This is such a simple idea that came out looking so amazing! I must say I am very impressed. I love doing projects like this on my own, but I often find myself short on inspiration. I like using sponges as cut out "stencils" for quick art projects. I think I will do something like this on my own. Perhaps with my name? What do you think? Thanks for the inspiration!

  37. hello! First of all, please don't think I'm this kind of person who LOVES to criticize, these are just a letters post and not hearing the tone can be distorting. I'm not sure what to think about this post.... on the one hand I consider is really nice to get that everybody get in touch with their creative side and I congratulate you. However, as an artist, I think this can be hurtful for our work. It's not right to copy a painting this way and say that you did it just in 20 mins, cause in the real painting probably there was a "backstage-concept" work... you haven't written down neither the name of the artist in the post... Maybe could its better to get the work of young artists? they don't ask for a incredible amounts of money and we like to get considered for our work, as everyone :).

Once again, don't get me wrong, it's just reflection :)

    Thanks!
