My DIY | Polka Dot Shirt

11.12.2012

After seeing this image on Pinterest, I decided to give hand panted spots a try on a sheer blouse. With a circle sponge, I dotted on circles over the front of my shirt with fabric pant, let it dry, and the set it with an iron. Done and done, instant update to a basic blouse!

Supplies: Target Sheer Top, Fabric paint, Circle Sponge, Rowenta Travel Iron

  17. The gold was a great choice for a teal shirt! Admittedly, I don't much "get" the sheer shirt thing (is it forced layering? Do people want to show off their bras? What's the deal?!), but adding these opaque spots is so interesting texturally.
