DIY INSPIRATION | Gem Embellished

10.30.2012
Hurricane Sandy left us without power for a couple days, but I was able to hike it uptown to recharge at my friend's office and log online (whew, I forgot what life was like without the Internet) to bring you a little DIY inspiration.  I've become enamored with embellishing with gems, and there was no shortage at the last European Fashion Week.  Something about oversized stones on a basic trench or a sweatshirt is a statement I can't wait to make.  Stay tuned for my DIY version!

  1. Those embelishments look great on all those pieces. I believe that it may be easy to make, perhaps with glue, I am so terrible at DIY xp I am a new follower :)

  14. I've seen the last two images before, and have been searching for giant gems to DIY a sweatshirt. I read in the product description, which I can't seem to find in my bookmarks now, that the gems were held onto the sweatshirt with snaps, in order to be able to wash the sweatshirt like normal.

If anyone knows where I can find similar giant gems, please reply and let me know!
