[My DIY] Envelope Laptop Case

8.15.2012

After wandering through the aisles of Mood Fabrics I spotted this chevron print from afar,  I fell in love, then grabbed a yard immediately to make my next DIY project. I wanted to make the perfect case to fit my HP Ultrabook, and with a few cuts and folds, I had a sew-free sleeve in no time. Supplies and steps below!

  7. I will be making one this weekend!

Got your book today. It felt like some golden Manhattan fairy dust fell out from between the pages and landed here in my bushy, eucalyptus-fragrant Brisbane suburb. The book exudes luxury and a feeling of Chanel rather than felt and glue-gun-glue. It is fantastic, inspiring, vibrant, fashionable and I LOOOOOOOOOVE it!

I'm certainly going to make one for me but maybe instead of glue, I'm going to sew in order to make it more resistant and add a pocket for the charger.

I will be checking for new DIY ideas :)

  36. I'm thinking I'm going to use this same idea to make a waterproof textbook carrier/holder! I live in a very rainy area and my textbooks get damaged easily, so having a simple holder to carry them in when it's raining will be a lifesaver!

    Thanks for the idea!
