[My DIY] Engravable Charms

4.15.2012

I have recently become obsessed with Brooklyn Charm and their engravable pendents. I went a little crazy in their Etsy shop and bought a bunch of charms that I have been adding little sayings to. It is the perfect personalized gift to give to friend, or way to declare your personal mantra, "DIY is rad" obvi.
Also how amazing is my @ISpyDIY nameplate by BaubleBar, fully repping all things do-it-yourself.

The Letter & Number stamp punch set is only $12 at Hobby Lobby, and you can stamp metal, plastic, wood... the DIY ideas are endless!

Supplies: Jewelry Pliers,  Engravable pendants from Brooklyn Charm, 3 mm Letter & Number stamp punch set from Hobby Lobby, chain with clasp and jumpring, hammer.
Steps after the break...

Pick out the letters you would like to engrave. Put the first letter in place and strike with the hammer, three hard hits. Use either a flat surface or an anvil. I tested it out a couple times on other charms to get the spacing correct. Practice makes perfect.
After your charm is engraved, connect to the chain with a jumpring using your jewelry pliers.
