Initially I was a bit skeptical about the neon trend, in fear that I would look too 80's (I have a rule about never re-wearing a trend you have worn in decades past), but I am starting to dig the pop o' neon in small doses. Something is super smart about wearing it with a monotone wardrobe. As the wearing warms up, it could be the perfect way for a New Yorker to inject a some pizazz into our basis black uniform.
AND it is easy enough to DIY! Paint your oxfords (steps here, use a primer first with neon), add bright lace to a bag, or paint a leather clutch (step here, use a primer).

I just want to buy neon paint and cover EVERYTHING.
