[my DIY] Leather Ring bracelet

10.03.2011
Last Friday, I teamed up with Rebecca Minkoff to DIY at Henri Bendel. We nibbled on cake pops, ogled over the bags (a couple of my faves) and made these faux leather ring bracelets.
Supplies: Scissors, snaps and faux leather from M&J Trimming, ring, superglue
DIYing with a couple readers in the window of Henri Bendel. Loved meeting so many fantastic ladies who love to craft. Make sure to tweet pics of your bracelets at me!  More party pics and steps after the break.
Cut a piece of leather two inches longer then the circumference of your wrist.
Wrap the leather around the ring and super glue the end down.

Next wrap onto your wrist, inside out, to measure where you should glue the closure. Pinch the fold of the leather to mark the length.
Glue one side of the snap to the opposite end of the bracelet, and then glue the other approximately in the middle, or where the snaps line up when folded at the crease.
Let dry. Wrap around your wrist and snap on the inside.
DIY creations from the event.
My leather coat and skirt from Rebecca Minkoff. Thanks for having me!

  3. soooo cool, I love the matte chain w/rhinestone bracelet from earlier, too, so good all together! I found a grip of rhinestone bracelets for $8 at target - much easier than the craft store!

  21. Is it possible to get a few more details about the supplies needed -- how wide is the faux leather strap (i had a hard time finding it on the M&J site); and where did the ring come from (and what is the diameter)? The bracelet's perfect - and if i can't win one, i'd love to make one!

  26. LOVE this! <3

Looked @ M&J trimming and can't figure out which trim you purchased. In the black they have 15&25mm : http://www.mjtrim.com/Catalog/Product/330/31607/31607.aspx

Also, where does one get the rings used...in gold/silver...can't find them simply searching 'rings' on crafting sites...

    Thanks!
